Alex Holton

alex.jpg (55913 bytes) Alex performs with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Long Island Philharmonic (principal trumpet), and The Connecticut Orchestra's Summer Music (principal trumpet). He performs regularly with the chamber music groups, Meridien Arts Ensemble and City Island Baroque Ensemble (soloist). On Broadway, Alex played lead trumpet in the recent production of The King and I, which won 1997 Tony for Best Musical Revival. He is currently in Parade, at Lincoln Center. His recordings include The King and I, (Varese Sarabande Records, Inc.), Baroque Trumpetissimo (ESS.A.Y. Recordings), and A Grand Sousa Concert (EMI Records).
