HONORARY MENTION

The 2011 12th International Web Concert Hall Competition

Piano duo Scholtes-Janssens (Netherlands)

"It could well have been 25 or 30 fingers, so big and well integrated was the sound. Terrific duo in top form."       Jeffrey James, IBLA Times, New York, April 2009 - about debut in Carnegie Hall.

When listening and seeing the duo one will naturally think of Wolfgang and his sister Nannerl, so should they have been, when they let their fingers go over the keys! In the piano literature, we find Schubert also composed for piano four hands, with a variety of different pieces: light music in the living room, but also work with an emotional charge....  Mozart Society Gelre-Niederrhein contracted two young talents for the New Year’s Concert, that put the Vredeberg Church in a musical glow last Sunday...  by Maria Koster  2011
