The Winners of 1999 International Web Concert Hall Competition

Ms. Gwhyneth Chen won the first prize of Ivo Pogorelich International Piano Competition in 1994 and was a laureate in both 1990 Tchaikovsky Internatioinal Piano competition and 1992 The Prokofieff International Piano Competition. Ms. Chen currently resides in NYC where she received her Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the Juilliard School. More info  Performance

Mr. Siqing Lu won the first prize of Paganini International Violin Competition in Italy and has also won prizes from Beijing International Violin Competition and Yehudi Menuhin International Youth Violin Competition. He has performed in more than thirty countries throughout North and South America, Europe, and Asia. Mr. Lu has made more than dozen CD and video recordings and has been broadcast over 30 TV and radio stations throughout China and other parts of the world. More info  Performance

Special Prize winner of 1999 International Web Concert Hall Competition. Ms. Mead has given solo appearence in London, New York, Milan and two concert tours in Australia. Ms. Mead had appeared as a solo pianist since the age of 11, where she played on ABC television. Having always been lauded as a pianist of interpretive and not just technical ability, Vaila Mead has enjoyed particular success as an interpreter of Mozart, Beethoven and Chopin.
